Our Story
Eco-friendly was never just a term — it was our way of life
Born from the wisdom of a Haryana village, Sindhara by Suman Sheoran is a tribute to grandparents who lived sustainably long before it had a name.

The story behind Sindhara
A tribute to my grandparents
I grew up in a small village in Haryana. My grandparents were the most earth-conscious people I have ever known — not because someone told them to be, but because that was simply how life was lived there.
Every torn cloth was stitched back. Every broken tool was repaired — not once, but many times — before it was ever let go. Nothing was wasted. The earth was respected without a second thought. There was no word for it. It was just life.
Growing up watching them, "eco-friendly" never became a trend or a label for me. It became my default way of thinking, of doing, of being.
Sindhara is my way of saying thank you to them — every single day. Every bag we make carries that spirit: made to last, made with care, made to honour the earth the way my grandparents always did.
"They never needed a reason to care for the earth. It was their nature. Sindhara is my nature too."

"In my grandparents' village, nothing was wasted. Everything was repaired, reused, and respected. That wasn't sustainability — that was just wisdom."
